Rules
Zero tolerance for hacks/cheats, dupes, or abusing known bugs. This includes (but isn’t limited to) clipping stashes or storage into geometry,
making inaccessible stashes, using floating props to climb, or forcing players through objects with vehicles/physics.
No loot cycling. Don’t move loot around just to force different items to respawn.
Common sense applies: if it’s a bug or loophole, it’s not allowed. When in doubt, open a ticket and ask staff before doing it.
Accounts with recent VAC or game bans may be removed from Project DayZ platforms with no appeal. Older bans are reviewed case-by-case. If you believe a ban is incorrect, resolve it through the official platform support first.
Do not watch any live stream of Project DayZ while you are playing on Project DayZ. Getting info from someone who is watching a stream counts the same as watching it yourself. This also includes private Discord streams.
Raiding is allowed on Project DayZ. Allowed raid methods include:
- Cut locks with a bolt cutter to access an entry
- Use explosives to destroy fortifications
- Use firearms to damage/destroy fortifications
- Use melee weapons/objects to damage fortifications
- Boosting: one teammate (standing/crouched), a vehicle, or another structure
- Dialing/guessing a combo lock (“rolling the dial”)
Do not use shelters, tents, backpacks, fireplaces, or mannequins as “boost props.” Keep it logical.
No glitching/exploits during raids. If you’re questioning it, it’s probably not allowed.
Before claiming a base or changing combinations, you must remove all existing locks.
Leaving a note after a raid is encouraged (not required) — it helps create story and follow-up.
Do not log out (or stay logged out after a crash/restart) to avoid consequences, players, or an ongoing situation.
If you must leave for real-life reasons during an interaction, tell the other party ASAP.
If you’ve been in combat or a meaningful interaction, move away and wait before logging — you can’t always know if it’s truly over.
Do not share Steam accounts. Violations tied to a shared account affect everyone involved.
Alternate accounts may not be used to store loot (“barrel alts”), gear up a main account, rejoin fights faster,
scout locations, or trade between your own accounts. Do not place an alt in the same group as your main.
Don’t spam players, Project DayZ staff, or the ticket system (pings, DMs, VOIP spam, etc.).
If you believe a rule was broken, submit a proper report with evidence.
If you want to discuss an in-game interaction, message the player on Discord and wait respectfully for a reply.
VOIP music/soundboards used to distract, harass, or grief players is not allowed.
Bases must be raidable: build so every wall/fence/tower/gate can be destroyed or dismantled. No base is 100% safe.
No bases inside military areas. Do not build in/inside military compounds, military POIs, or restricted military zones.
No clipping/glitching: fence posts must be visible and not shoved into barrels/tents/crates/terrain/building geometry.
Storage may not clip into map geometry or into other storage.
No floating structures. Platforms must be supported by ground-level fences (no free-floating builds).
Do not clip fences through solid walls so the same fence exists across separate rooms. Player-built fences may not intersect each other.
No wall/gate stacking: each gate/fence must have enough space in front and behind for a player to walk the full length between it and another structure.
Don’t bypass this by placing posts to “seal” gaps.
Flagpoles must not clip into buildings or terrain.
Do not bury stashes on top of each other. Stacking buried stashes is considered glitching.
Do not remove/destroy tires to prevent vehicles from being driven. You may remove other parts, but all four tires must remain on the vehicle.
If you’re unsure whether your base/build will break rules, open a ticket with screenshots and coordinates.
