Core Idea
This mod provides an alternative base building path designed to feel grounded and risky. Building is viable for both solo survivors and groups,
but collecting resources is intentionally challenging — if you want a base, you’ll earn it.
Example Fortifications
These images showcase the kinds of structures players can realistically build using the R22R system.
Designs vary based on creativity, resources, and risk tolerance.
Hazard Mechanics
Spikes are not decoration. Humans, infected, and animals can be injured by contact with spiked structures.
If it looks dangerous, treat it like it is.
Contact can cause anything from a light bleed to severe injuries. The result is a more intense PvE environment and adds real tension to close-quarters fights and roleplay situations.

Randomness & Tool Condition Matters
Resource gathering is influenced by tool condition and survivor condition.
A damaged handsaw will usually yield fewer resources than a pristine one.
Your character’s injuries also matter — sloppy work and bad choices stack consequences.
Simple Building Process
Each build piece uses its own material slots. The slot count tells you the requirement.
Example: 0/3 logs means the frame needs 3 logs total.
The quantity needed always matches the slot amount shown.
Resources & Progression
The system is built around logs and ropes. Nails are used for upgrades and reinforcement,
but ropes are the main gate — find them, or craft them using rags.
The models reflect this: fewer nails, more rope lashings tying structures together.
Real Fire Geometry
Structures use proper fire geometry. If you can see a gap between logs, it’s a real gap.
Shots can pass through openings — no invisible walls, no “fake cover.”
